Does Your Office Require X-Rays or Advanced Imaging?

We do not X-ray or use advanced imaging on all of our patients. If, after an exam is given, Dr. Kosinski requires further imaging to make a diagnosis, she will recommend that at the time. We only believe in doing advanced imaging when it is absolutely necessary to make a diagnosis.

Does Your Office Accept my Insurance?

We accept most major insurance carriers, Medicare and MassHealth. We can contact your insurance company to confirm the benefits for you.

What if My Insurance Isn’t Accepted?

We have a variety of options to make treatment affordable for our patients. Our typical FIRST office visit charge is $99. That includes a consultation, exam, any diagnostic testing, and if accepted a first chiropractic treatment. Any subsequent visits for treatment would be $50.

How Much Does it Cost?

A typical first visit is $250. We do have an online special for $149. Most subsequent visits after are $50.

Keep in mind that every patient has a different condition and set of circumstances and therefore each patient will have a different treatment plan. We will always explain the cost before we do anything additional you have to pay for and will also assist you in payment options if that's what you need. We would be happy to talk with you on specifics at any time via phone or in the office.

Will I get treatment on my first visit?

Yes, you will. Your pain has likely been present for some time. To understand fully where the source of your issue is, we will do a thorough exam and medical history. Dr. Kosinski will find the source of your pain and then give you a gentle and very precise treatment to help you start to feel better. You will then make a separate appointment to go over the report of findings and the treatment recommendation so that you know what to expect moving forward, and we know how best to help you.

What If I'm Afraid of the Chiropractor because of Something I've heard a Friend Say?

When you want to find out if something is really safe all you have to do is just check with the insurance companies. They have to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to issuing insurance to doctors for injury and malpractice. Chiropractors have some of the lowest premiums of any type of doctor. The premiums are adjusted higher/lower according to the possible risk of injury from treatment. If we have the lowest premiums, then the insurance companies have concluded that we are one of the safest forms of healthcare. In fact on average malpractice insurance rates are 90% lower than your primary care doctor. 99% lower than your OB/GYN or surgeon!

Is a referral required?

No. A Doctor of Chiropractic is a primary contact physician, requiring no referral for you to see one. If we find that your problem isn’t related to your spine, we’ll refer you to another practitioner that is more appropriate for your case.

Does chiropractic treatment hurt?

No; in fact, it usually takes the pressure off the body and alleviates pain.

Why should a baby or a child see a chiropractor?

We all encounter trauma in life, starting with birth, which can be harmful to a baby’s delicate spine. If left uncorrected, it can cause problems later in life. A study by Nilsson reported that children under care are healthier than those that aren’t, miss less school, have less of a need for drugs, and are more attentive. Chiropractors have helped with many common issues like digestion, constipation, colic, bed-wetting, scoliosis, growing pains, asthma, ear infections, and torticollis. Instead of treating a condition, chiropractic removes nervous system interference so that the body can function at its best and heal itself.

Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?

In most cases, Yes. If we’re unable to help you, you’ll be informed immediately.

What type of education is required to be a chiropractor?

Today’s education curriculum is similar to that in medical school with an emphasis on neurology, anatomy, nutrition, biomechanics, X-ray, diagnosis, physiology, and spinal adjusting. In total, postgraduate education requires a minimum of seven years, and demanding state and national boards must be passed.

What conditions can chiropractic care help with?

Our 4 main specialties, however, are the following: Neck pain/upper back pain, Low back pain including sciatica (numbness and tingling in the legs), Chronic Headaches (including all forms of tension and migraine Headaches), Back pain in all its forms happening during pregnancy
